I have always wanted to be a Naval officer. In fact, since I was a young boy, I have envisioned being adorned in the white clothes of the Sailors. I can describe myself as a patriot to the United States of America.

As compared to the nations around the world, the united States spend the far most amount of money and resources in order to curb as well as contain global violence. Therefore, it can be argued that indeed the United States polices the world.

The Intervention in Libya in order to end the reign of Gaddafi has been one of the controversial interventions that the United States has done in its role as the police of the world. Citing humanitarian grounds, the United States forces together with NATO bombed the cities of Benghazi and led to the win of the rebel forces. However, after that intervention, Libya has sprung into chaos and currently; there is no known leader in the country (Tanenhaus, 2008).

The United States annually prosecutes thousands of drug related cases. The issue of drugs in the American justice system has become a thorn it flesh and questions have been asked whether or not the war on drugs has been sucessful.

Privilege, especially when it comes to white privilege and male privilege is often very difficult to see for those that were not born with access to resources and power. It is, however, very visible to the persons that the privilege was not in any way granted to them.

Terrorism can be described as a form of psychological warfare in a literal sense. All the power of terrorism often lies from the leveraging the imperfections of the human mind and an increased tendency for people to make regrettable decisions when they are consumed by fear.

The recent past has seen women’s rising status improve in economic and political institutions. The rising trend has been attributed to changes in men’s social dominance, gender inequality, prejudice and discrimination in economic, cultural and political aspects.

The terms, Islam, Jihad and terrorism have been used to relate to each other in modern society especially the use of Jihad and terrorism as synonyms. Contrary to this notion Jihad and terrorism are two different concepts and do not interrelate at any given point. It is important for Non-Muslims to understand that terrorism is the complete opposite of Jihad and is not recognized nor accepted in Islam religion. Jihad in Islam is a struggle towards the path of Allah and is under guidance of the Qur’an.

The Bauhaus also known as the Staatliches Bauhaus was an art school situated in Germany that combined fine arts as well as the crafts. This school was significantly famous for the move towards design which it both taught and publicized[ Crouch, Christopher, Modernism in Art Design and Architecture, (New York: St. Martin’s Press, 2000), p. 63. ]. The Bauhaus school which means ‘building house’ was initially founded by Walter Groupius in 1919 at Weimar. The term Bauhaus means, “house of construction” and was founded with the notion of “total” work of art.

Diversity is extremely important in the field of the forensic psychologist. This is because there are times when involuntary therapy might be needed, and this attracts different types of people with diverse cultures (American Psychological Association, 2002). Therefore, it is important for a forensic psychologist to understand that there is a need to be sensitive to the culture of the individual.

India has been in recent years been considered as a prime country for outsourcing labor by most international companies because of its lower wages. Further, this might also be because of the cultural characteristics of Indians which can be said to favor most industries as there are long working hours with decreased wages as compared to most developed countries (Kobayashi-Hillary, 2005, p.56)
